Liberty was eliminated from contention for the Division I, Region 3 playoffs last week with its loss to Coffman. The Patriots, who have lost their last two games, are 2-2 against opponents with a winning record.
Liberty, which employs a no-huddle, spread offense, is averaging 34 points per game and Thomas is allowing 36.8. Joey Longhino has completed 148 of 210 passes for 2,109 yards and Dan Rhinehart has 34 receptions for 519 yards.
The Cardinals are averaging 15.9 points and have been held to seven points or fewer in four games. They have scored more than 21 points twice.
