ATHENS — Athens County is using beer and bikes to promote tourism with an effort dubbed Brewed on the Bikeway.   The home of Ohio University and the Nelsonville Music Festival is also fertile for breweries, such as Jackie O's and Devil's Kettle.   The county has a 21-mile path, the Hockhocking Adena Bikeway, between Nelsonville and Athens, and there happen to be four breweries, a craft beer bar and a cidery to visit along way: Jackie O’s, Little Fish, Devil’s Kettle, Multiple Brewing, the Eclipse Company Store Craft Beer Hall and West End Cider House.   Each stop will offer a special, such as a Bike Flight, for cyclists. Visitors can bring their own bikes or rent one in Athens or Nelsonville at Athens Bicycle or Black Diamond Bicycles and Rentals.
