Slice of Columbus Get your advance $10 ticket to the 20th Anniversary of Slice of Columbus. I've been to this pizza tasting event once and was more than full when I walked out of the tent. Attendees, who get to vote for their favorite pizza, can also feel good knowing their ticket fee will benefit Nationwide Children's Hospital. Be sure to get your tickets by Sept. 1 for this event, or pay more at the gate. The event is Wednesday, Sept. 9 from 5 to 10 p.m. at the LC Pavilion. *Speaking of pizza, try the NEW Donatos hand-tossed pizza. It's $10.99 for a large, one-topping pizza––plenty for 2 or 3 people to share. It reminds me of pizza offered by another pizza chain in town, but try it and see what you think!

Clippers ticket offer from Kraft Bring a Kraft singles wrapper to get one FREE ticket with purchase of a ticket for the game on Tuesday, Sept. 1. The first 2,000 fans get a T-shirt and it's also City Barbeque's "Buck a Bone" night.

Vino Vino Happy Hour This is a great deal ($3-$4 food and drinks!) for great food (fresh, homemade 6"pizzas, fish tacos, soup, pasta, salads!) at a great location (Grandview Avenue!). The happy hour is only for an hour weekdays from 5 to 6 p.m. I went on a Wednesday night and by 5:30 p.m. the outdoor tables were full. Here's a look at some of the items on the Happy Hour specials menu: The Bibb Salad is $3. It had a good flavor with cheese, bacon and tomatoes mixed in with greens.

This $3 "Baby" cosmo is plentiful despite the name. I'm not much of a martini or cosmos girl, but this had just the right amount of alcohol/lime/cranberry juice flavor.

The $3 Peppercorn Salad is good. A little kick from the pepper is balanced out with the dressing and sweet corn pieces. Loved the breadstick.

The 6" Goat Cheese Pizza comes with fresh veggies and a few smatherings of said goat cheese. Crust is the same as breadstick, thin flatbread style that's the right combination of crunchy, chewy and salty. All 6" personal pizzas are $3.

Fish Taco with mango salsa features tilapia. My sister kept going on and on about fish tacos, so it must have been good. Fish tacos (2 kinds) are $4.

Despite the smaller portions, a salad and a personal pizza were enough to fill me up. Even though the cosmo was good, I'll just drink water in the future unless I'm going out afterwards. My total was barely over $10 with tip for my drink, salad and pizza. Like I said, next time no drink, so the total will be more in the $7 range.
