FREE museums on Saturday Perhaps you missed my mention about FREE entry into the Motorcycle Museum in Pickerington as part of Smithsonian magazine's FREE museum day a couple of weeks ago. You need to get an admission card (good for 2 people) online to get FREE entry to any of the museums participating in the event. Visit microsite.smithsonianmag.com/museumday/admission.html. Several central Ohio museums are participating:

Columbus Museum of Art. Museum currently features four exhibits in addition to the recently-installed Chihuly Illuminated exhibit: Kojo photography, Ohio Art League, George Tooker retrospective and Eye Spy. It's located at 480 E. Broad St. and is open from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Kelton House Museum & Garden.The museum at 586 E. Town St. is open from 1 to 4 p.m. and features Victorian-era paintings and furnishings. Ohio Railway Museum. This museum is located at 990 Proprietors Road in Worthington and is open from 1 to 5 p.m. on Saturday. Ohio Historical Center. Located near OSU and visible from I-71, it's located at 1982 Velma Ave. The museum is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and features a Soul! exhibit with items from the National Afro-American Museum and Cultural Center. Wexner Center.Open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and a walk-in tour is offered at 1 p.m. on Saturday. Of course, I recommend going to see the Luc Tuymans exhibit at the Wexner Center at OSU. I recently saw it mentioned on The New York Times' T Magazine Web site. Me with the artist.

Oktoberfest OOPS! I originally told you wrong... It's at the Natural Resources/Commercial Pavilion at the Expo Center. It's free to get in the Schmidt's-sponsored event this weekend, but parking is $8. Of course, you'll want to take some money for food. I haven't had a cream puff for years and can't wait to have one on Sunday!
