Family Days @ The Zoo Hopefully, you got your free passes to the zoo and 10 cans to donate tomorrow to get free parking. It'll cost you $5 to park on Sunday, but you can see Jack Hanna that day. Stop by the Columbus Parent area for games, prizes, shows and vendors.

Mother's Day ideas Many of you might be taking your Mother out for brunch next Sunday, but some others might want to get her a gift(s). I've made a list of a few gift ideas or places to shop with a focus on buying local by buying products made in Ohio. •North Market-Get food products by Ohio Proud vendors and the market's vendors and put in a gift basket during a visit Saturday. Also, the market will be holding Artisan Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. Lots of vendors will be selling their handmade items including jewelry, glass, pillows, clothes and more. •Mockingbird Meadows products-Find these at Whole Foods on 161 or Worthington Farmers Market. They sell honey and herb products including lavender creams, infused honey, natural bug spray, lip balms, bubble bath and more. Their farm store is now open in Marysville. For details, visit www.mockingbirdmeadows.com. If you don't want to go out, you can order their products online. Also, www.eBeeHoney.com is an Ohio company selling honey products online. •The Glass Axis Studio will hold a sale this weekend. It's located in Grandview area at 1341 Norton B. The sale will run Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. Make a glass flower for Mom for $35-it's offered from noon to 5 p.m. each day! •Farmers Markets-Clintonville and Worthington have vendors with fresh flowers and will be held on Saturday. Some market vendors also sell soaps and baked goods. •Libbey glass vases can be found a Wal-Marts for around $3. The vases are Made in the USA and Libbey Glass is an Ohio company located in Toledo. Why not put those flowers you got at the farmers market in a Libbey vase? •Texting Dictionary of Acronyms-Central Ohioan Randall Manning made this pocket-size reference book and it's available on Amazon.com or at select gift stores such as Hallmark for $4.99. It's great for the Mom or Grandma who's new to texting! I'll be giving one to my Mom since it features her favorite sendoff, TTFN, listed in it. ****I have one of these to give away. Be the first to send me an e-mail at eholl@thisweeknews.com with your name and address and I'll send it to you!****
