Columbus Commons holiday fair
Holiday Fair downtown
The downtown holiday fair kicks off today, Dec. 16, at 4 p.m. Tonight's events include trackless train rides, carousel rides, a giant ice slide, bounce house, petting zoo and marshmallow roasting. A $5 wristband provides unlimited access to the aforementioned attractions. A holiday tent will be set up for photos with Santa, a Secret Santa Shop, arts and crafts, seating and choir performances. A number of food trucks and food cards will be selling food Friday and Saturday.
Free trolley rides will run each day from 5 to 9 p.m. The trolley will take riders throught he Downtown Illumination light display.
There will be performances by a number of groups each evening. Holiday fireworks will take place at 8:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
A free showing of "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" will be shown Saturday evening. If this film is a favorite of yours, be sure to check out the exhibit featuring original cells from the animated classic at the Franklin Park Conservatory.
