Discounts at the zoo

• Memberships are on sale. I went ahead and got my Zoombezi Bay membership for $64.99 (plus $2 processing fee) recently. Gold pass memberships for the zoo and Zoombezi Bay are $99.99 ($94.99 if you're currently a zoo member and renewing). These prices for memberships are good through the end of the year.

• Half off admission on Wednesdays for Franklin County residents with I.D. Great time to see the Wildlights if you haven't already.

• Half off admission in January and February.

• Free admission through Jan. 1, 2012 for Military Personnel.

*Remember, if you're not a Columbus Zoo member, parking is $5 per vehicle.
