Old Man's Cave
I hadn't been down to the hills for a while and with the nice weather decided to go hiking at Old Man's Cave. It's about an hour and 15 minutes from Columbus. There are several trails and a nice bathroom and sitting area near the entrance. My trip was on the weekend and I'm sure it's not as busy during the week. I would suggest taking a picnic lunch and something to drink if you plan on being there for an extended amount of time. The area is very rural and there was no cell phone service at the park. Be sure to wear sturdy shoes as the trails can be slippery if wet and there are lots of stone steps. There are numerous waterfalls and amazing rock formations and a couple cave areas. If you are afraid of heights, I would suggest you not hike at Old Man's Cave because there are steep cliffs.
Other things to do in the area:
Ziplining and 4-wheeling adventures.
Hiking in Cantwell Cliffs.
Hiking at Rockbridge and Rock House.
Visit the Washboard Company factory in Logan.
