There’s apparently some real talent – and some really good eating – at the New Albany Country Club. Not only is Alfonso Contrisciani, the executive chef at the country club, a certified master chef but sous chef Eddie Tancredi has advanced in the latest competition of the American Culinary Federation, which is putting together its Culinary Team USA. Tancredi is one of 15 chefs who qualified to compete in the second of two culinary competitions to determine who will become part of the six-member team, which will compete in Luxembourg this November. It’s a precursor to the Culinary Olympics in 2012 in Germany. Tancredi, who received a bronze medal at the tryout, worked for Richard Rosendale of the acclaimed but defunct Rosendales in the Short North.
