Buying Ohio-made, green beauty, Earth Day volunteers
It's easy to support fellow Ohioans by shopping at an Easton Town Center store. Celebrate Local sells items that were produced in Ohio. Items for sale at the store include pottery, artwork, wine, jewelry, salsa, organic skincare, argan oil, fabric goods, notecards, photography and food mixes/dips. They have a large freezer/refrigerator case in the back, too, but I didn't get a good look to see what all was in it. The store is located in The Strand near the C.O Bigelow store.
I haven't had a chance to check it out yet, but Green Beauty has finally opened in Powell. (The store was originally scheduled to open in late 2011 according to a sign) The store sells organic skincare and beauty products and is located in a brick building next to The Lost Shepherd restaurant at 437 W. Olentangy St. off of S.R. 750/Powell Road. I'll give you details after I visit
It's still a little ways off, but Earth Day will be here before we know it. Sign up now to volunteer for this year's celebration, "Root Down," on the Green Columbus website http://greencbus.org/site/earth-day/.
