Green Drinks Columbus hosts an environmental movie every year. This year, it's "How to Boil a Frog."

"How to Boil a Frog"

The movie for this year's Green Drinks Columbus night at the movie focuses on how too many people are using up the planet's resources too quickly. I really enjoyed last year's movie where the filmmakers went to each state to show the viewers a "green" topic (Y.E.R.T. - 50 States, 1 Year, Zero Garbage?). Here's a description of the award-winning documentary for this year:

From the filmmakers:How to Boil a Frogis a comedic documentary about overshoot: too many people using up too little planet much too fast. Yes, we've taken the kind of material that makes people jump off bridges, put it in a blender, and churned out a smoothie o'fun that gives you the big picture of what the hell is going on with our so-called civilization, and tells you what you and I can do about it that will not only actually make a difference (no light bulbs!) but also make our lives better right now!

Here's a trailer to the movie:

The cost is $5 for the movie and food and beverages (including lots of beer choices) are available. The movie begins at 7 p.m., but you might want to get there around 6-6:30 p.m. to socialize and have a drink and order food. Studio 35 is located at 3055 Indianola Ave. in Clintonville. There is free street parking in the area near the theater. Here's a link in case you want to check out food and beverage options in advance
