The Clippers and Toledo Mud Hens are playing a rare on-purpose doubleheader Huntington Park, beginning at 3:05 p.m. today. By playing two the two seven-inning games, Easter Sunday becomes an off day for both teams.

Tyler Cloyd (1-1, 4.83 ERA) is starting the opener for Columbus against Duane Below (0-0. 2.00). The Clippers still have a TBA listed as their second-game starter. That announcementwill not come until after the first game is completed and will depend on which relief pitchers work the first game.Of note, Toru Murata, who was transferred to the Mahoning Valley roster earlier this week is in the building. Toledo is pitching Mike Belfiore (1-1, 7.50).

The Mud Hens also have added outfielder Tyler Collins today. He was optioned to Toledo by the Detroit Tigers yesterday. Collins will be making his triple-A debut. He played for double-A Erie last season and made the Detroit opening day roster with a strong spring training. Collins, 23,had 14 at-bats in the first 13 games this season. So he is with the Mud Hens to get more playing time.

Cleveland minor-leaguer Jake Lowery suffered a right orbital fracture in last night’s game for double-A Akron at Bowie (hit by pitch in facial area). He is scheduled to be examined at Cleveland Clinic early next week to further establish plan of treatment and recovery. Lowery, a catcher, was selected by the Indians in the fourth round of the 2011 first-year player draft.
