Westerville residents Katie Moody and Paige Plesich of the DeSales High School girls lacrosse team signed letters of intent Nov. 14 to play for Walsh and Wheeling Jesuit universities, respectively.
Moody, an attacker and two-year letterwinner, scored 10 goals last season for the Stallions, who went 8-8-1 overall and lost to Cincinnati Mother of Mercy 12-7 in the first round of the Division II South/Central Region tournament. She earned academic all-Central Independent League and academic all-state honors.
Plesich, an attacker and three-year letterwinner, had 22 goals through five games last year before suffering a season-ending injury. She scored a program-record eight goals in a game against Watterson and earned academic all-Central Independent League and academic all-state honors.
Walsh and Wheeling Jesuit are Division II schools.
