Grove City High School senior Brandon Bapst signed a letter of intent Nov. 14 to play basketball at Malone University.
A 6-foot-4 forward, Bapst averaged 11.8 points and 7.0 rebounds for the Greyhounds last season and was named second-team all-OCC-Ohio Division and honorable mention all-district. He was Grove City's second-leading scorer last season behind 2012 graduate Brad Saxton, who averaged 15.8 points.
The Greyhounds finished 15-7 overall and 8-6 in the OCC-Ohio last season.
“We are very excited to be adding Brandon Bapst to our program,” Malone coach Tim Walker said. “We are very impressed with his length and versatility as a player. But most importantly, he will be a great fit in our program. He has both the character and the academic excellence that we value.”
Located in Canton, Malone is in Division II and is a member of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
