Reynoldsburg High School senior Wendell Davis signed a letter of intent Nov. 15 to play men’s basketball at Ashland University.
Davis averaged 14.1 points and eight rebounds last season as the Raiders won their second Division I district championship. He made the ThisWeek Super 12.
Reynoldsburg beat Northland 53-51 in a district final as Davis scored 17 points, including the winning basket. He also had 28 points in the Raiders’ 57-49 regional-semifinal loss to Canton McKinley.
Reynoldsburg High School senior girls basketball players Destini Cooper, Yamonie Jenkins and Shiloh Murphy announced their college choices at a ceremony Nov. 18.
Cooper and Jenkins signed with Ohio University and Murphy signed with Morehead State.
Cooper, who has started since her freshman year, averaged 10 points and 7.4 rebounds while making second-team all-OCC-Ohio Division and honorable mention all-district last winter.
Jenkins averaged 5.7 points, 5.6 assists, 4.0 steals and 2.2 rebounds at point guard while making first-team all-league and honorable mention all-district.
Murphy averaged 6.3 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.7 steals and 1.6 assists while making special mention all-league.
