Worthington Kilbourne High School senior Tyler Stern-Tucker signed a letter of intent Nov. 15 to play men's basketball at the University of Findlay.
Last season, Stern-Tucker averaged 10.7 points and was first-team all-league and honorable-mention all-district in Division I, as the Wolves finished 12-10 overall and went 8-6 in the OCC-Central Division to tie Westland for fourth behind champion Upper Arlington (12-2).
Last season, Findlay finished 24-7 and won the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference tournament. The Oilers were ranked third in the NCAA Division II Bulletin preseason poll this season.
“This is a great opportunity for Tyler because he’s getting a full scholarship to go to a Division II national power,” Kilbourne boys basketball coach Tom Souder said. “Tyler’s a 6-foot-7 kid who has a lot of skills. He can play every position, except the five, and he creates a lot of matchup problems with his skill set.”
