DeSales senior Griff Saunders has his college decision out of the way after verbally committing to play for Bowling Green on June 18.
A 6-2, 215-pounder who told Scout.com that he runs the 40 in 4.61, Saunders has the physical pedigree to deserve the scholarship even without having much varsity experience.
He was a contributor last fall as the Stallions went 5-5 but should become a key player at linebacker as well as at running back this fall.
Saunders should be a linebacker in college.
"I really felt at home when I was on campus," Saunders said. "I also like the coaches and where they are taking this team in the future."
Kanu, who has the quickness and size at 5-10, 180, to be a successful college defensive back, could be the next player for DeSales to verbal to a Division I school over the coming months.
