The Beat was in NYC the past several days. In addition to general tourst-y stuff and to share that great city with The Beat's nine-year-old daughter, the main purpose for our visit was to check out the revival of "Grease" on Broadway, you know, the one they cast from the NBC reality series last winter. (Faithful readers may remember the conundrum we had regarding this. See the June 27 entry here to catch up.)
More on the show in our next post, but for now, we're stuck on a non-entertainment note from the visit to the City That Never Sleeps.
We mention the "never sleeping" thing because of this. Now, this is something we'd certainly have sloughed off had we been home, but it makes a big difference when you're a dozen or so blocks away. The Beat - family asleep - spent the 10:00 and 11:00 hours glued to local newscasts for any updates. "Not terribly credible," even from a top FBI official, is only so comforting.
