The Impresarios of Opera Columbus will hold its Second Annual Halloween Party this Friday at the Greystone Wine Cellar. Costume judging is by three art lovers who know a costume when they see one: Fred Holdridge, the "Pope" of German Village and recent recipient of the Arts Freedom Award; Charles Kleibaker, renowned New York fashion designer and costume curator of the Columbus Museum of Art and Fran Luckoff, fashion diva and arts patron of Columbus and Palm Beach. Now, The Beat is told by unnamed sources inside Opera Columbus that executive director Press Southworth attended last season's event dressed like a, well, um, a pimp. Columbus School for Girls art students are designing and carving pumpkins for the event. Suggested contribution $50. Proceeds will benefit Opera Columbus. RSVP and information at (614) 262-3967.
