Arnie Roth conducts the games

You know Arnie Roth, music director for the "Distant Worlds: Music from Final Fantasy" concert this weekend at the Ohio Theatre, isn't a gamer. You know this, because you read our print piece.

Yet this Grammy Award winner (read all about Arnie and his work in film, traditional classical work and more on his Web site) not only conducts FF concerts (and has for nearly a decade), but has conducted concerts featuring music from The Legend of Zelda, Super Mario Brothers, World of Warcraft, Halo and more.

His influence on popular culture extends to the Barbie series of movies. He has also played and conducted with Il Divo, Diana Ross, Jewel, The Three Tenors, The Irish Tenors, Charlotte Church and more

Oh, and did we mention he's a full-time member of pop-classical ensemble Mannheim Steamroller?

Chances are you have heard Arnie Roth making music in some way or another.
