Trent Wagler of Americana quartet The Steel Wheels cooked up something he's taken to calling simply "The Stick." Watch this video for an idea of how a broom handle with washers and jingle bells on it is a fine accompaniment to four-part harmony singing.

And note below a slightly more rustic version of the stick The Beat ourselves made just a couple months ago. We called it the Jangle Stick. Yes, it's the trunk from an old Christmas tree, with zils from a few old tambourines and some bottle caps.
