Mind. Blown.

Debate negotiations between the campaigns of Gov. John Kasich and Democratic challenger Ed FitzGerald didn't get off to the best start but are on track now, according to a source.

The two sides have chatted and appointed political veterans to hash out the details -- which is customary. Negotiating for Kasich is Jo Ann Davidson and for FitzGerald is Denny Wojtanowski.

FitzGerald has begun prepping for debates, with two practice sessions thus far. Who's playing Kasich for the Democrats? None other than Ohio Democratic chairman Chris Redfern, perhaps Kasich's harshest critic. Here's just one example.

A source said Kasich hasn't done any formal debate practice yet, though his campaign would neither confirm nor deny that.
