Friends, when shopping for a big ticket item you need to shop around. To get clued in on good deals I like to make a price journal. Once I decide on the item I want I go to work. I watch the adds for sales, call the different stores that carry the item and stop in to the store on a regular basis. If it's an item that I don't need immediately I keep a price journal to track the lowest price of the item, the date and the store I saw it in over the course of a few weeks to a month. That way I will be able to discern when and where to buy the item with the greatest savings. With the sagging economy retailers are going to be vying for your business. My husband's birthday is approaching so I am keeping a watchful eye on certain items. By being patient with items you are certain will be in stock take your time and don't be hasty. Wait for the really good deal to come along. For now happy shopping!
