Friends, March is a peak season for apples, grapefruit, oranges, pears and strawberries. There are three different varieties of apples on sale this week than the normal variety. Lady Alice which is described as sweet with a hint of tartness and crunchy with dense flesh. The Jazz apple which is a cross between Gala and Braeburn and is described as tart & sweet. It has a dense flesh and is crunchy and juicy. The third apple is the Pacific Rose variety. It is mostly a sweet apple with very little tartness. It's color is pink to red and it is crunchy and juicy. I love crunchy apples. I am going to try them all this week but since I like a sweet apple I think I will favor the Pacific Rose. If you try them let me know which is your favorite. Here are the produce deals for the week of March 2.
