Friends, we are getting down to the wire in regards to getting our holiday shopping finished. If you still haven't located a high-in-demand item, here is a good strategy to employ.

Early mornings are when many stores such as Target, Walmart, Best Buy and Toys R Us put out their stock of the most sought out items. They receive shipments overnight and restock their inventory for the next day's business.

If you are not there before the store opens, you lose out. Three years ago, when I was trying to find a Playstation 3 for my son, I spent many a cold Sunday morning standing outside of some of these stores. They usually will give vouchers out to the people standing outside of the store in a line an hour or so before the store opens.

Another strategy is to try calling multiple stores in the same chain in your area. Recently, I called three Kohl's stores in the area to locate an item. The third one was a charm and had what I was looking for.

Enlist friends, relatives and co-workers to be on the lookout for the item as well. You will be pleasantly surprised about how willing people are to help you with your search.

Persistence pays off . So whether you are still searching for a Zhu-Zhu hamster or any other high in demand item, it pays to be an Early Bird and persistent. There are 2 more shopping days before Christmas morning. Make the most of them. For now, happy shopping! Laurie, The Bag Lady
