If you are monitoring your spending steer clear of shopping at convenience stores. One quick stop for a gallon of milk or loaf of bread can cost you double or triple the amount that you would expect to pay at a grocery chain. You are paying for the convenience of getting in and getting out quickly.
Convenience stores are generally located within gas stations. Many are open 24 hours and located in highly dense areas that draw a lot of traffic. If you are tired and hungry it is easy to stop, fill up your gas tank, get a cup of coffee and pick up a few essentials. It does not take long for the money to add up. So unless it is a dire emergency, steer clear of shopping at convenience stores. For now happy shopping!
