The City League hasn't held a championship game among the winners of the City-North and City-South divisions since 1998, but the equivalent of such will be staged at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, when the Beechcroft and Eastmoor Academy high school football teams meet in a Division III, Region 11 playoff game.
When the Northland High School football team plays host to Beechcroft on Friday, Oct. 28, it will mark the third consecutive season that at least a share of the City League-North Division championship will be on the line in their matchup.
