2014 State Wrestling Meet
Fans await the start of state wrestling finals Saturday, March 1 inside Ohio State’s Schottenstein Center.

Marysville's Hayden Lee defeated Massillon Perry's Jose Rodriguez 5-2 to win the Division I title at 113 pounds. Lee (43-3) was named the Most Outstanding Wrestler in Division I.
Marysville's Austin Pfarr celebrates after defeating Cincinnati Moeller's Chalmer Frueauf 5-4 in overtime to win the Division I title at 220 pounds. Pfarr finished 46-1.
Olentangy Liberty’s Jon Furnas reached the semifinals at 120 pounds before losing. Furnas finished fourth.
Central Crossing’s Josh Wimer reached the semifinals at 126 pounds before losing. Wimer finished fourth.
Hilliard Davidson’s Bobby Smith reached the semifinals at 132 pounds before losing. Smith finished fifth.
Marysville’s David Sparks reached the semifinals at 138 pounds before losing. Sparks finished fifth.

Hilliard Bradley’s Jake Stratton reached the semifinals at 170 pounds before losing. Stratton finished sixth.
Johnstown’s Clayton Bullard bounced back from his first loss of the season in the Division II quarterfinals to defeat Perry’s Kyle Kremiller 5-4 in the third-place match at 195. Bullard finished 53-1.
Big Walnut’s Alec Eisnnicher reached the Division II semifinals at 170 pounds before losing. Eisnnicher finished sixth.
Whitehall's Noah Jay faces Hunter Lucas of Lima Shawnee in 106-pound match during the Division II state meet Feb. 27 at Ohio State. Jay lost 6-2 but went on to finish seventh.
Whitehall's Ana Abduljelil faces Elida's Blaine Hunter in a 113-pound match during the Division II state meet Feb. 27 at Ohio State. Abdulijelil won 10-5 and went on to place seventh.
Ready’s Patrik Garren (47-2), the defending state champion at heavyweight, recovered from a pin in the semifinals to defeat Dayton Christian’s Nate Jackson 9-3 in the Division III third-place match at heavyweight.
Hartley’s Grant Rathburn reached the semifinals before losing. Rathburn finished sixth in Division III.
