Thomas Gentile threw for three touchdowns to lead the DeSales High School football team rallied to defeat host Toledo St. John's 31-17.

Gentile connected with Ike Ariguzo for touchdown passes of 12 and 26 yards as the Stallions erased a 10-0 lead.

Kyle Nugent added a 31-yard field goal for a 17-10 halftime lead.

Gentile hit Adam Griffin on a 30-yard pass play and Sal Carfagna added a 13-yard scoring run in the third quarter as the Stallions, who improved to 2-0, ran off 31 consecutive points.

Gentile finished 9-for-17 passing for 113 yards and added 64 yards rushing on 17 attempts. Josh Kusan added 58 yards on 17 attempts

Ariguzo had four receptions for 61 yards.

DeSales struggled early, losing a fumble on its first play from scrimmage. The defense rose to the challenge and allow only a field goal.

The Stallions also lost a fumble on the Titans' 1-yard line.
