The Reynoldsburg High School football team left Lebanon on Friday playing much better on defense but still with a loss to show for it as the Raiders fell 7-3.

The Raiders, who opened with a 28-0 loss to Dublin Jerome, were only minutes away from victory when the Warriors took advantage of a couple miscues.

A call for a hit out of bounds kept the Warriors' drive alive and on fourth down, Reynoldsburg's Roosevelt Nix appeared to have deflected the kick, which fell short.

However, the deflection was not detected and a roughing penalty was called.

That set up a 1-yard sneak by quarterback Dusty Isaacs with 3 minutes, 37 seconds left in the game.

The Raiders' only points came on a 32-yard field goal by Taylor Gustavson in the first quarter.

Nix finished with two sacks and Garrett Newsome added an interception.
