Derek Wolfe returned an interception 30 yards for a touchdown to help the Columbus Academy football team to a 20-2 victory over Lakewood on Friday in MSL-Ohio Division action.

The Vikings improved to 4-2 overall and 2-1 in the MSL, and the Lancers fell to 0-6 and 0-3.

Lakewood scored in the first quarter when the ball was snapped out of the end zone on an Academy punt attempt.

All the Vikings' points came in the second quarter. Preston Pearson scored on a 1-yard run for a 7-2 lead before Jordan Hoffman extended the margin to 13-2 on a 19-yard run.

The Vikings allowed only 105 yards of offense and forced four turnovers. Mike Roehrenbeck had two fumble recoveries.

Jeff May led Academy with 103 yards rushing on 13 attempts.

The Vikings return to action Saturday at Newark Catholic, and Lancers play host Friday to Bexley.
