For the first time since the 1994 and 1995 seasons, the DeSales High School football team has put togetherconsecutive undefeated regular seasons.

The Stallions capped off their latest march to 10-0 with a 35-21 victory Saturday at Bedford over Cleveland Benedictine.

DeSales, which built a 13-0 lead and led 13-7 at the half, fell behind 14-13 when Bengals quarterback John Hromulak hit Marty Sweeney for a 44-yard touchdown -- the second of the duo's three scoring connections.

The Stallions answered when Sal Carfagna scored on a 6-yard run late in the third period. Josh Kusan scored on a 30-yard run late in the fourth quarter to make it 28-14.

Quarterback Thomas Gentile, who ran in from 12 yards in the first quarter, added a 1-yard touchdown runlate in the fourth quarter to seal the win.

Kusanrushed for139 yards and two touchdowns on 13 attempts, Gentile had 89 yards on 12 carries and Carfagna added 59 yards on nine rushes to lead a ground game which produced 336 yards and scores.

Hromulak was 12-for-19 passing for 201 yards to lead the Bengals, who wereheld to 90 yards rushing and finished 3-7 on the season.

DeSales takes its No. 1 ranking in the Division II state poll into a regional quarterfinal Friday against visiting Watterson, which it beat 21-17 on Oct. 3.
