The 6-2, 205-pound Becher was the common denominator in the Blue Aces qualifying for the Division III playoffs in consecutive seasons. A three-year starter, he's leaving a program which was 1-9 his freshman year.

"His ability to run our offense is unprecedented," coach Mike Hensley said. "There were so many times we'd send in a play and he'd run an even better one. We gave him a lot of leeway, and just about everything we did revolved around him."

Becher, who made first-team all-district, completed 66 percent of his passes (205 of 312) for 2,854 yards and 32 touchdowns, both of which are single-season program records. He also was always a threat to run, too. The Blue Aces finished 8-3 this season and won 15 games overall during his final two seasons.
