The 6-1, 240-pound Boren is the most dominating player on a defense which had five shutouts and had given up 11 touchdowns through 13 games.


The Division I district Player of the Year and all-league selection had 177 tackles, 15 tackles for a loss, three forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, five batted passes and an interception.


The Ohio State recruit also had rushed for 384 yards and 11 touchdowns.


"Zach is a student of the game who engulfs scouting reports and is always in the right place to make tackles all the time," coach Jay Sharrett said. "Zach's surprisingly quick and agile for a big kid and he's capable of popping off big runs, but he's been especially effective at getting us first downs and touchdowns in short-yardage situations."
