Wood, an Ohio State recruit who also was first-team all-league and all-district, played a major role in all three phases of the game for the Tigers, who won the OCC-Ohio at 7-0 and lost to Cincinnati Elder 24-10 last Saturday to finish 13-1 overall.

On offense, the 6-2, 190-pound Wood had 25 receptions for 316 yards and three touchdowns. On defense, he had 73 tackles, three interceptions, 21 batted passes, four forced fumbles and two tackles for a loss. He also blocked a punt.

"Jamie's a very diverse player and he's good at everything he does," coach Jay Sharrett said. "He's very physical. He can run through tackles, and when he gets his hands on you, you are not going to get out of his tackle."
