It's hardly surprising that Klein, a 6-3, 230-pound Ohio State recruit at linebacker, owns two of the Central District's most prestigious records.


"Look at the number of varsity games he's played in," coach Randy Baughman said. "That's what really impresses me. He's been so durable."
Klein reached 50 games played with last Saturday's Division III state semifinal against Eastmoor.


Klein, who entering the state semifinal had set district career records for rushing yards (6,214) and touchdowns (99), played the second half of last year's state final with a lacerated kidney. He also has played with a bruised foot in this postseason, yet the district Offensive Player of the Year still increased his season totals to 1,712 yards and 27 touchdowns.
