Tyler Fifer and Brandon Magyari of the Big Walnut High School boys bowling team ended their season at the district tournament.

Last Saturday at HP Lanes, Magyari (584) and Fifer (581) finished well behind the third and final individual state qualifier, Hartley's Tim Eichhorn (715). The state tournament will be held Saturday at Tiki Lanes in Lancaster.

Magyari finished 48th overall, and Fifer was 51st of 146 bowlers.

Fifer had qualified for district by rolling a 615 at the sectional Feb. 13 at Eastland Lanes to secure the third of eight district-qualifying spots for individuals on non-qualifying teams and finish 12th overall.

Magyari rolled a 591 at sectional to secure the seventh individual district-qualifying spot and finish 19th overall.
