The Marysville High School wrestling team finished second behind Hilliard Davidson for the second consecutive week as the Wildcats won the Division I district tournament at Hilliard Darby with 119.5 points ahead of the Monarchs at 104.5 on Saturday.

At the sectional tournament at Westland on Feb. 21, Davidson was first (203.5) ahead of Marysville (199.5).

Individually, Marysville had three state qualifiers led by Jake McCombs (125 pounds) as he won the district tournament beating Cody Shivener of Springboro 4-1.

Caleb Marsh (160) and Nate Weeks (215) finished as district runners-up as Marsh lost to Davidson's J.T. Rice 3-2 and Weeks lost to Groveport's Seth Nelson 4-1.

McCombs, Marsh and Weeks also qualified for the state tournament last season. Marsh placed fourth at 145, Weeks finished seventh at 215 and McCombs finished eighth at 119.
