Junior Sean Clutter led the Westland High School wrestling contingent at the Division I district tournament Friday and Saturday at Hilliard Darby.

Clutter (43-11) reached a semifinal at 130 pounds before settling for sixth place. He fell to Mount Vernon's Charlie Hill 4-0 in the fifth-place match.

The top four advanced to the state meet, which is Thursday-Saturday at Ohio State.

The Cougars took 26th with 22.5 points, finishing behind first-place Hilliard Davidson (119.5).

Westland's other district qualifiers were Cameron Ray at 103 (0-2), Scottie Haslam at 112 (2-2), Jack Swicegood at 119 (1-2), Galo Santos at 125 (1-2), Quintin Rigney at 135 (1-2), Jordan Harris at 140 (1-2), Tyler Palmer at 145 (0-2) and Jordan Finney at 285 (1-2).
