Four of the six high school bowling teams from Westerville advanced to the state level at last Saturday's district tournament at HP Lanes.

Westerville Central won the girls title with a total of 3,758, beating second-place South (3,666). South's Jennifer West won the individual title with a three-game series of 622.

South also finished second on the boys side, rolling a 4,226 to finish behind champion Maysville (4,344). North reached the state for the first time by finishing third with a 4,195.

The state tournament will be held at Tiki Lanes in Lancaster, with girls competing Friday and boys competing Saturday.
