Hecker, the Division IV state Player of the Year last year, earned his second consecutive district Player of the Year honor as he led the Warriors to a district runner-up finish.

Hecker, a Cedarville recruit who scored a program-record 45 points in a 56-43 win over Watterson on Dec. 19, averaged 21.4 points and more than 10 rebounds.

He finished third on Worthington Christian's all-time scoring list with 1,583 points behind Sam Smith (1,695) and Chris Beals (1,622) and finished first in free throws made (397), free throws attempted (563), scoring average (18.4), rebounding average (7.8) and defensive rebounds (451).

"His statistics certainly say that he was one of the greatest players to come through our school," coach Kevin Weakley said. "(He is) somebody who already did things the right way."
