Last meeting: Orange won 58-46 on Dec. 18.

Why this is the game of the week:
Orange lost to Mount Vernon 59-49 last Friday for the Pioneers first league loss as the two teams stand atop the OCC-Capital standings at 8-1. The Eagles are one game back at 7-2.

Key Matchup:
The run-and-gun style of Orange against the normally deliberate game of New Albany. Both game plans can add up to wins, but something has to give. Also check out the rebounding battle since Orange lost their primary inside threat 6-foot-3 senior Jalen Davis, who coach John Betz said left the team for personal reasons.

Orange wins if...
The Pioneers hit their perimeter shots by senior guards Zack Joseph and Taylor Rieger. Also, 6-3 wing Cameron Sheehan and the frontcourt will need to step up with key rebounds. Orange must remain patient to get the necessary open shots, unless, of course, Joseph and Rieger - both averaging about 20 points per game - find their shooting touch early.

New Albany wins if...
The Eagles can continue to implement balanced scoring attack and slow down Orange's fast-paced play. Coach Sam Davis' teams are known for playing hard-nosed defense. Look for New Albany to blanket the perimeter, likely with a 3-2 zone, in an attempt to force the guards to fire up contested shots with the Eagles seeking one-and-done rebounds.
