A pair of City League-North Division teams in need of computer points play Friday when the Beechcroft High School football team plays host to Mifflin in week three of the conference schedule.

The Cougars are coming off a 63-0 victory last Friday over Linden-McKinley. After losing back-to-back games to CCL-Silver Division teams Watterson (30-6 on Sept. 3) and St. Charles (22-12 on Sept. 10), they opened City play with a 26-14 win over Whetstone on Sept. 17.

Mifflin lost to the Cougars 40-0 at home last season and also lost last Friday to Centennial 18-12.

Beechcroft led 50-0 at halftime last Friday as quarterback Sheldon Akin ran for a pair of first-half touchdowns and threw two others. The Cougars also recovered a blocked punt in the end zone and got two rushing touchdowns from Dai'Ron Glover.

The Punchers got a 3-yard scoring run from Rodney Cupe and a 6-yard touchdown pass from Jacques Dorsey-Merrion to Troy Robinson, but gave up a pair of fourth-quarter touchdowns to Centennial.

Of the 30 teams in Division II, Region 7, Mifflin is 19th and Beechcroft is 20th in computer points.
