The Northridge High School football team will be in search of its first MBC win of the season Friday when the Vikings travel to East Knox.

Northridge is winless in two league games following a 48-0 loss to Utica last Friday. The Vikings committed 12 penalties for 115 yards and trailed 34-0 at halftime. They were led offensively by freshman running back Jacob Burke, who had 38 yards on six carries.

The Vikings have lost 10 consecutive league games and have not won since the ninth week of 2008. That week Northridge defeated Loudonville 21-10.

East Knox, which won 35-34 last season, is 3-2 overall and 2-0 in the MBC. Last Friday, the Bulldogs needed overtime to defeat Centerburg 26-20. The Trojans had a 373-177 advantage in total yards, but gave up a 91-yard kickoff return for a touchdown to Chase Cottrell and Aric Durbin returned a fumble 30 yards for the score.

East Knox quarterback Cody Totten led the team in rushing with 47 yards on eight carries and a 25-yard touchdown run. He also hit Khai Haralson with the 9-yard game-winning touchdown pass in overtime.
