Patrick Rhomberg threw for two touchdowns and rushed for another Friday as the Watterson High School football team defeated host Uniontown Lake 37-13 in a non-league game to clinch the top seed in Division III, Region 10.

Watterson improved to 8-1 and Lake fell to 7-3.

Rhomberg threw scoring passes to Mario Dean (9 yards) and Erik Oman (20 yards) as the Eagles took a 24-0 halftime lead. Dean also scored on a 22-yard run in the first quarter to push the lead to 10-0. Rhomberg finished 11 of 17 for 143 yards. He also rushed for 51 yards on 12 carries. Isaiah Murray led the Eagles with 56 yards on 17 attempts.

The Blue Streaks, who advanced to the Division II, Region 7 playoffs and will be host to a first-round game, scored the first 13 points of the second half before Rhomberg scored on a 1-yard run to push the lead to 30-13.

Brad McCurdy closed the scoring with a 31-yard interception return.
