The Ohio State University School of Music's 2011 Contemporary Music Festival will pay tribute to its founder, Worthington composer and recently retired OSU professor Donald Harris.

In performances and film presentations Thursday and Friday, April 28-29, a number of Harris' compositions will be performed and examined. In particular, six of his works will make up the April 29 concert.

"Music is my life," Harris said. "To serve as Composer-in-Residence for a festival that I founded, and to offer a retrospective of my work as performed and conducted by colleagues, former students and friends, is a deeply humbling experience."

Festival tickets are $12. Call (614) 292-2295. For complete festival information, visit cmf.osu.edu.
