Libby brought joy to the hearts of pediatric patients with heart defects by volunteering to paint their faces at Children's Hospital.

She visits the Ronald McDonald House and bakes cookies and decorates cards for family members who have a child in the hospital. This past winter, Libby made homemade blankets and donated them to less fortunate children in local foster care. Come spring, Libby has decided to plant and harvest an over-sized garden, where she plans to donate all the fresh fruits and vegetables to our local food pantry.

Libby also loves animals of all kinds. In addition to loving, feeding, watering and cleaning her own animals, Libby spends time at the local animal shelter, where she donates food and supplies and visits wounded animals. Even the associates at our local pet store know Libby as she visits regularly, asking to hold and play with the animals no one asks for so they, too, will get love, affection and exercise.

Last weekend, Libby volunteered her time to packaging care packages for military troops overseas. She made candy bags for U.S. soldiers and attached a homemade thank-you card to each and every one of them.
