The Franklin County Board of Elections saw its largest one day total yet for absentee voting for the 2012 primary election on Saturday, Feb. 25.

The numbers showed 162 voting in- person at the board of elections when polls opened from 8:00 a.m. to noon.

A total of 25, 786 had requested absentee ballots in person and by mail as of 8 a.m. Feb. 27.

Early voting resumed at the board Feb. 27 and will end this week. Voting is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Thursday, March 1 and from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, March 2- the last day of the absentee voting period.

The Franklin County Board of Elections is located at 280 E. Broad St., Columbus.
