Last season, central Ohio was well represented, as Dublin Jerome took home the boys team title with 112 points. Upper Arlington (103) and Dublin Coffman (98) followed among the six schools that posted team scores.

Taylor McIntyre, a junior at Columbus School for Girls, won her third consecutive girls foil title. McIntyre, a Gahanna resident who also competes for the CSG track and field team, beat Columbus Academy's Abigail Kaye 15-4 in the championship match last season.

McIntyre is trying to become the second four-time state champion in Ohio High School History. Upper Arlington's Joseph Streb was the first four-time state champion.

More than 200 fencers from around the state are expected to participate.
