Artisan chocolatier opens new kitchen in Lewis Center

By

Kristy Yosick is back, just in time for Valentine’s Day.

The artisan chocolatier has opened cocoa917 in the Sugardaddy’s Sumptuous Sweeties store at 1329 Cameron Ave., Lewis Center.

Yosick said she specializes in using chocolates mainly from a small producer in Costa Rica, as well as chocolates from the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Ghana and Madagascar.

Her confections are available by order only and can be picked up at Sugardaddy’s and Enchanted Elements downtown or delivered by Yosick herself. She does not currently offer chocolates for retail sales but is working on getting accounts at local independent grocers and specialty shops.

Yosick had owned Yosick’s Artisan Chocolates in German Village but closed the store in late December 2010. She then opened another kitchen in Hilliard, but didn’t like the location and closed it, too.
